Water Module Settings

FXMaster+ provides a GM-only Water Options settings menu. These world settings remove unused Water systems before the shader is built, allowing Water to use a lighter shader and load more quickly based on the features needed by the world.

Feature Default Expected shader impact Effect controls
Follow Region Path Enabled Heavy Follow Region Path and Path Influence
Caustics Enabled Medium-heavy Caustics, strength, and tint
Waves Enabled Medium Waves, speed, direction, and strength
Vortex Enabled Low Vortex toggle, size, speed, direction, and strength
Token Trails Disabled Heavy Token Trails, width, strength, and settle time
  1. Open Configure Settings → Module Settings.
  2. Find Water Options under Gambit’s FXMaster+ and select Configure.
  3. Enable only the feature groups needed by the world.
  4. Select Save.
  5. Accept the world reload prompt.

When a feature is disabled, stored Scene, Region, API, and passive Water configurations are sanitized so the unavailable option cannot remain active invisibly.

Keep commonly used systems enabled when several Scenes need them. Disable high-impact systems such as Follow Region Path or Token Trails when the world does not use them. The settings remove those controls from Water and reduce the shader work included during its initial setup.

After changing a feature gate, review active Water rows. A disabled feature is cleared from stored options; re-enabling the world feature does not necessarily restore the previous per-effect value.
